EXIAS Medical GmbH iis committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG) as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, OJ L 151 of 07.06.2019, p. 70 (European Accessibility Act – EAA).

EXIAS Medical GmbH is continuously improving the digital accessibility of its online services. The goal is to make content accessible and usable for all individuals—regardless of their individual abilities. Content is being gradually revised, supplemented, and adapted to meet legal standards.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) due to the following non-conformities and exemptions.

The website was evaluated using the following tool:

  • Microsoft Accessibility Insights

Non-accessible Content

Despite ongoing improvement efforts, certain barriers currently remain. These primarily concern:

Incompatibility with Accessibility Requirements
  • Alt Texts: Some images currently lack alternative text. These are being added gradually.
  • PDF Documents: The website offers downloadable PDF documents that are currently not accessible. If you need these documents in an accessible format, please contact info@exias-medical.com. We will strive to provide the content in an appropriate format.
  • Videos: Some videos published on the website do not include subtitles, making spoken content inaccessible to deaf or hard-of-hearing users. As such, WCAG success criterion 1.2.2 “Captions (Prerecorded)” is not fulfilled.
Additionally, some videos are hosted on YouTube. Once published, it is technically not possible to add audio descriptions retroactively. As a result, WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 “Audio Description (Prerecorded)” is also not met. Meeting these requirements retroactively would constitute a disproportionate burden under current legal accessibility standards.
Subtitles will be included in newly produced videos going forward.
  • Other Content and Functions: We are continuously working to make additional content and features accessible. This includes videos, color contrast, content in plain language, FAQs, digital services, as well as contact and help sections.
Content Outside the Scope of the Applicable Legislation
  • Older Content: Documents and content published before 28 June 2025 are not subject to mandatory accessibility requirements.
  • Third-party Content: Content not developed, funded, or controlled by EXIAS Medical GmbH is also exempt. Our website contains links to external sites and embedded tools. As these are outside our area of responsibility, we have no influence over their accessibility.
