EXIAS Medical is an innovative medical technology company that develops and produces pioneering analytical devices for the healthcare sector worldwide. Our technologies improve diagnostics on a daily basis - and for that we need smart minds! To strengthen our team at the Graz site, we are looking for a committed Junior Design Engineer to start as soon as possible.

Your Tasks
  • Creation of technical documentation such as specifications and product materials (e.g., design drawings, material specifications, etc.)
  • Close collaboration with the design and quality management teams
  • Coordination with the system integration, production, sensor technology, and electronics departments
  • Mechanical design of devices and consumables in the field of in-vitro diagnostics
  • Development of concepts, implementation of designs, and support in prototyping
  • Conducting quality inspections and independently resolving technical details
Your Qualification
  • Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, Technical University) in mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the field of design engineering is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Confident handling of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Visio)
  • Basic knowledge of 3D CAD (ideally SolidWorks)
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Creation of design drawings including tolerance analysis
    • Product specifications
    • Material specifications
  • Independent, quality-conscious working style as well as very good English skills
  • Team spirit and structured, clear communication

Salary

For the advertised position, a gross monthly salary of at least € 3,341,50 (for full-time) is provided for in the collective agreement. Overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and professional experience.

Overtime

Any overtime worked is compensated in the form of compensatory time off.

As a medical technology company, EXIAS Medical focuses on the development and manufacture of innovative analysis devices that are used in the healthcare sector worldwide. To strengthen our team in Graz, we are looking for a committed Process Equipment Engineer to start as soon as possible.

 

Your Perspective

 

In this technically demanding position, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team in the production area. You will play a central role in the planning, procurement and integration of new production systems and support them from specification and commissioning through to validation documentation. As an interface to external plant engineers, internal specialist departments and our production department, you will ensure that new production solutions are seamlessly integrated into existing processes. With your structured, solution-oriented way of working and your practical approach, you will make a significant contribution to the further development and efficiency of our production landscape.

Your Tasks
  • Specification, planning and procurement of bag filling systems and other production systems
  • Coordination, technical coordination and order processing with external partners in production system construction
  • Integration of production systems into complex manufacturing processes (e.g. material and data flow, cycle times)
  • Responsibility for commissioning new production systems, including functional tests, error analysis and process optimization
  • Creation and preparation of system-specific documentation to prepare and support validation processes
  • Maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of existing pouch filling systems
  • Initiation and implementation of optimization projects in the production area
Your Qualification
  • Degree in technical chemistry, process engineering or a comparable technical discipline
  • Sound knowledge of physical chemistry, ideally with a focus on process engineering applications
  • Several years of professional experience in production plant construction and in dealing with complex technical systems
  • Strong understanding of data flows and process networking in modern production environments
  • Basic knowledge of automation technology is an advantage
  • Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. ISO 13485, IVDR, GMP)
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially in Excel and Word
  • Basic knowledge of project management desirable
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Structured and independent way of working
