
Development Engineer – System Integration (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team in Graz, we are looking for a committed Development Engineer – System Integration to join us as soon as possible.
Your Role
In this versatile position, you will be part of our interdisciplinary development environment and actively contribute to the setup, commissioning, and further development of system components, test setups, and prototypes. You will play a key role in analyzing, optimizing, and ensuring system performance, thereby contributing significantly to the quality and reliability of our medical devices.
With your expertise in evaluating and interpreting measurement and test data, as well as your strong analytical understanding of complex systems, you will make an important contribution to root cause analysis and the continuous improvement of our products. In doing so, you will act as a key interface between development, quality, electronics, and software teams.
With your structured working style, technical curiosity, and hands-on mentality, you will drive both the improvement of existing products and the implementation of new solutions, actively contributing to the success of our innovative technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Setup, commissioning, and support of system components, test benches, and prototypes
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of tests to analyze and optimize system performance
- Development and implementation of improvement and corrective measures for existing products and new developments
- Analysis of failures and customer complaints from the field
- Statistical analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of measurement and test data
- Close interdisciplinary collaboration with quality management, software, electronics, and mechanical design teams
- Support of verification and validation activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
Your Qualifications
- Degree (university or university of applied sciences) in Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field
- Several years of relevant professional experience (excluding internships) in failure analysis and product/system development, ideally in the medical device field
- Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation
- Structured and analytical working style with a good understanding of complex systems
- High level of independence, solution-oriented mindset, and hands-on mentality
- Very good MS Office skills
- Fluency in German and/or English
- Solid programming skills (preferably Python / MicroPython)
- Experience in a medical or laboratory environment and familiarity with relevant standards is an advantage (e.g., IVD)
