To strengthen our team at the Graz site, we are looking for a dedicated Lab Engineer to join us as soon as possible.

Your Perspective

In this versatile position, you will be part of our dynamic team in the development blood laboratory. As a Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for measuring and testing human biological material – especially blood and plasma samples – and ensure traceable, high-quality results with GLP-compliant documentation. You will provide technical support for the analysis systems, prepare samples professionally and thus make a direct contribution to the development of our next generation of instruments.

Your Tasks

  • Independent execution of measurements on blood and plasma samples on various analysis systems
  • Preparation and modification of human samples (e.g. tonometry, spiking) to adjust analyte concentrations
  • GLP-compliant documentation and evaluation of measurement results
  • Technical support of the analytical systems: reagent change, cleaning, maintenance and fault diagnosis
  • Support in the establishment of new laboratory methods and technical setups

Your Qualifications

  • Completed technical or scientific training (HTL/FH for biomedical engineering, chemistry, biotechnology) OR vocational training as a biomedical analyst or chemical laboratory technician with relevant professional experience
  • Safe handling of human biological material, especially blood and plasma
  • Practical knowledge of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • High degree of conscientiousness, accuracy and a sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks

Salary

For the advertised position, a gross monthly salary (basis: full-time) of at least € 2,727.40 is provided for in accordance with the collective agreement; Overpayment possible depending on qualifications and professional experience.

    Customer Support Specialist(m/f/d)

    To strengthen our team at our Graz location, we are currently seeking a committed Customer Support Specialist to join us as soon as possible.

    Your Perspective

    In this full-time position, you will be embedded in a dynamic, cross-functional team that brings together Customer Support, Training and Product Management. This setup will enable you to work closely with different disciplines and gain a holistic understanding of our products and customer needs.

    As a point of contact with our international distribution partners, you will play an essential role in documenting and processing customer complaints on our complaint handling tool. Your work will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the successful application of our technologies in the field.

    This role offers you the opportunity to grow both technically and professionally in an international environment, take on responsibility early, and make a visible impact on the success of our innovative medical technologies.

    Your Tasks

    • Act as a customer-facing contact for our international distribution partners
    • Serve as the first point of contact for complaints and customer support inquiries
    • Document and manage incoming complaints in the complaint handling tool, ensuring proper evaluation and follow-up
    • Provide technical and application support for our products and offer solutions for customer queries
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through timely and high-quality responses
    • As you grow within the role, you will also conduct training, workshops, and on-site support activities (travel required approx. 5%, within and outside Europe)

    Your Qualifications

    • Degree (university or equivalent) in a technical field, preferably with a focus on biomedical engineering or a related discipline
    • Ideally 2–5 years of experience in customer support within a similar industry
    • Recent graduates with strong technical aptitude and motivation are also welcome
    • Strong communication skills
    • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g. French or Spanish) are a plus
    • Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment
    • Team-oriented, eager to learn, and able to remain calm and flexible under pressure
    • Capable of independently managing customer interactions with a high level of professionalism
    • Very good MS Office skills
    • Basic knowledge of Jira, Confluence, ERP (pro-Alpha) and Python scripting would be an advantage

    Salary

    The minimum gross monthly salary is €3,500 (based on a 38.5-hour work week). The actual salary depends on qualifications and experience. The salary is paid 14 times per year.

      Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

      To strengthen our team in Graz, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to make a real impact in a regulated, high-tech environment.

      Your Role

      You will develop application-level software for our in-vitro diagnostic instruments running on Linux-based systems. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes by ensuring our devices deliver reliable, high-quality results in medical laboratories worldwide.
      You will write modern C++ and Python code that runs on embedded Linux and work within the quality standards required for medical devices (IEC 62304). You'll collaborate closely with other teams to bring features from concept to a validated product.

      What You’ll Do

      • Develop and maintain software components in modern C++ and Python for embedded Linux systems
      • Write and maintain unit tests
      • Maintain and extend legacy systems, including bug fixes, refactoring, and documentation
      • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
      • Work in Git/GitLab with CI/CD pipelines
      • Support integration, debugging, and testing on embedded target hardware
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems engineering, V&V, and regulatory

      What We’re Looking For

      Required Qualifications

      • At least 5 years of professional experience in object-oriented software development
      • Strong C++ skills (modern C++11/14/17/20)
      • Experience using Python for product development and tooling
      • Solid understanding of software design principles and patterns
      • Experience with Git
      • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
      • Good German and English skills
      • Ability to work on-site in Graz at least 3 days per week

      Valuable additions (not mandatory)

      • Experience with Qt/QML for GUI development
      • Embedded Linux development experience
      • Knowledge of security concepts and testing
      • Firmware or microcontroller development
      • Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab
      • Background in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace)
